The Water Environment Association of South Carolina will fund awards at technical colleges within each of the Association’s ten districts, filling gaps left by South Carolina’s lottery-funded scholarships.

The WEASC will award scholarships based on criteria that will include Association membership, or affiliation, and study in an environmental field in the pursuit of an appropriate degree offered by the enrolling institution below. WEASC will continue to award existing scholarships as follows: The A. Ray Abernathy fellow must be an outstanding graduate student in the Environmental Engineering and Science Department at Clemson University. The University of South Carolina scholar must be a junior or senior civil engineering student.
